A Few Firsts The 2nd Time Around

Today we spent the day at the Nagoya Aquarium and Nagoya Port.  We had a great time, but a few things happened today to make remind me what being pregnant is all about.  Haha!

First, we had a Skype call with my parents this morning to tell them our news.  We put Carter's Big Bro shirt on and my mom got it pretty much right away.  This video isn't the best as I was trying not to be obvious and have a camera in their face recording, but you can hear them just fine.  They were excited and happy for for us.

Second, we were in a rush to get out the door to head to Nagoya after our call with them, so before we left I had 2 pieces of left over pizza from the night before.  Once we were on the train and I experienced a bumpy, jerky ride for the first time since 11/2, I started feeling really sick to my stomach.  Barf!  I swear there is a reason God makes you forget all that you endure while being pregnant...so you can have a second and third and fourth.  Man!  It finally went away later in the day and right now as I write this, I feel great.  (I just ate some left over chicken and rice and 2 Oreos.  Mmmmmm!)

And finally, after we walked through the aquarium we passed by the gift shop and Scott asked if I would like to go in.  I said yes, but because it was packed and we had the stroller, we went in one at a a time.  I went through first and saw a few things that made me immediately about the baby.  It would be nice to get a small stuffed animal to put in the crib.  After Scott went in and came back out, he said he didn't see much.  He asked if I saw anything and I told him I saw a few things, but we started to walk away.  When we started walking, I started crying.  So we turned right back around and walked back to the shop.  When we walked through the place again, I started crying even harder.  We finally chose a killer whale and I apologized to Scott and told him it wasn't at all him and all me.  Stupid pregnancy hormones!!  I don't remember having meltdowns like this in public.  Well, I had one towards the end of my pregnancy over choosing/buying socks at Meijer.  Who knew they made so many different socks?

After our big purchase and on our way to get lunch, we stopped to take a few pictures with a statue outside of the aquarium and Scott captured this.  How sweet!!  Carter was saying, "Baby," and I was telling him, "That's right.  The baby's in Mommy's belly."
