Week 17- All About Baby Smith
Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.
Week 17- All About Mama Smith
Baby Bump: Def have a small baby bump
Weight Gain: Well, the doctor told me I needed to increase my daily calorie intake because I've only gained 1/2 pound since my appointment at 11.5 weeks. I weighed 136 on January 21st.

Maternity Clothes: Yes
Stretch Marks: Nope
Aches & Pains: Sore boobs, I have the worst heartburn ever (having a hard time eating chocolate and red pasta sauces), on and off nausea, and some RLP
Sleep: Sleeping great, but no longer sleeping on my tummy and now sleeping with my body pillow. I do feel like I'm back in 1st tri with the sleepiness. OMG!
Baby Movement: Feeling small rolls and kicks
Food Cravings/Aversions: I feel like I'm really just eating everything I was eating before we left for Japan. Oh, but I am having a really hard time drinking water. The doctor suggested Gatorade, so I tried it and drinking that is much better than water.
Gender: Just a few weeks to go until we find out. Very exciting!!
Belly Button: Starting to stick out a tad
What I Miss: A higher energy level
Looking Forward To: Our big ultrasound on Feb 14th!
Energy Level: Low, but I still seem to get a ton accomplished
